Susan Leslie // Performing Solo Teacher

Susan has acted in over 100 film and TV projects. She has acted opposite Oscar winners:  Kathy Bates, Forest Whitaker, Octavia Spencer, Helen Hunt, Hilary Swank, among others. In voice-over, Susan was worked on 4 of the top 10 grossing films of all time, including Avatar, The Avengers, and Iron Man 3. In theater, she has earned an Ovation Award (Trials & Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewive), Ovation Nomination (Yellow), LA Weekly Award (Yellow), and a Garland Award (Yellow) through her many roles with writer/director Del Shores.

Susan has 10 years of experience as a script coordinator, editor, web-content writer, reviewer, writing contributor for The Weekenders, as well as the book, “Virgin Territory”. Her acclaimed One-Woman Play, This Is Your Wake-Up Call earned rave reviews in Los Angeles and the East Coast. Susan was also a regular writer/performer in PRT’s essay and storytelling show, Pen to Paper.

Working with children is one of her great loves she and has taught acting technique for teens (age 12-18) at Andromeda Studios and scene study and monologues (age 9-18) at Deborah Gibson’s Electric Youth.

She is a graduate of the UCLA, School of Theater, Film, and Television and has studied in the Los Angeles Master Classes with the late-great Uta Hagen and the current-great, Howard Fine.

Susan loves helping her Performing Solo students find their “story” through truth and humor! She is a mom and a long-time “Big Sister” volunteer with the mentoring program, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Los Angeles.
